Description
Rent a Greenwave EMI Meter To Get The Most from Your Filter Installation
The Greenwave Broadband EMI Meter measures the level of dirty electricity—high-frequency electrical pollution—present on building wiring.
Every electrical environment is different. General filter installation guidelines can help you get started, but measuring dirty electricity with a suitable meter provides valuable information you can use to make more informed installation decisions and achieve the best possible reduction.
Renting the Greenwave Broadband EMI Meter gives you a practical way to measure your starting point, guide filter installation, and confirm the reduction achieved. The meter takes much of the guesswork out installation by helping you:
- Establish a baseline. Measure dirty electricity levels before installing your filters.
- Identify problem areas. Find rooms and outlets with higher levels of dirty electricity.
- Identify dirty electricity sources. See how electronics, appliances, lighting, and other electrical devices may be contributing to dirty electricity on your wiring. Identifying sources can provide valuable insight into where filters may be most effective.
- Guide filter placement. Compare readings at different outlets and test different filter/outlet combinations to determine where your Greenwave filters provide the greatest reduction.
- Determine how many filters you need. Use actual measurements from your environment rather than relying solely on general installation guidelines and estimates.
- Check for resonance. Occasionally, adding a filter in a particular location can increase rather than decrease dirty electricity on nearby wiring. Meter readings can help you identify and correct this issue.
- Verify your results. Compare before-and-after readings to see the overall reduction achieved with your Greenwave filters.
Simple Plug-In Operation
No special technical knowledge is required. Simply plug the meter into standard electrical outlets to measure the level of dirty electricity present on nearby wiring. The digital display reports dirty electricity readings in millivolts (mV).
BEFORE and AFTER readings can be viewed on the same screen simultaneously, making comparisons easy.
The meter also includes an audio feature that converts measured dirty electricity into sound, allowing you to both see and hear changes as you test electrical devices and install your Greenwave filters.
