GREENWAVE EMI METER RENTAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Meter Rental Terms & Conditions apply to the rental of a Greenwave Broadband EMI (Dirty Electricity) Meter (“Meter”) from Greenwave International, Inc. (“Greenwave”). By adding a Meter rental to your order and accepting these Terms & Conditions during checkout, you agree to the terms below.

  1. Rental Eligibility

The Greenwave Broadband EMI Meter is available for rental with the purchase of one or more Greenwave filters. Meter rentals are available for U.S. orders only.

  1. Rental Fee and Refundable Deposit

The Meter rental fee is $39.95. A $100 refundable deposit is also charged at the time of rental. The $39.95 rental fee becomes nonrefundable once the Meter has shipped. The $100 deposit will be refunded after the Meter is returned on time and in acceptable condition as described in these Terms & Conditions.

  1. Ownership of Rental Meter

The Meter remains the property of Greenwave during the rental period and until it is either returned to Greenwave or the $100 deposit is forfeited as provided in these Terms & Conditions. If you decide to keep the Meter rather than return it, you may do so by notifying Greenwave that you wish to keep the Meter and forfeit your $100 deposit. If the $100 deposit is forfeited because you choose to keep the Meter or because the Meter is not returned within the required time as described in Section 6, ownership of the Meter transfers to you.

  1. Rental Period and Return-By Date

The rental period begins on the date Greenwave ships the Meter and ends one month after the ship date. Your specific Return-By Date will be provided in the rental instructions included with your Meter. To be considered returned on time, the return package must be handed over to the designated shipping carrier on or before the applicable Return-By Date. The date the carrier accepts the package—not the date Greenwave receives it—will determine whether the Meter was returned on time.

  1. Rental Extensions

If you need additional time with the Meter, you may purchase a 10-day rental extension for $10. Extension requests must be made before the current Return-By Date by emailing [email protected]. If your extension request is approved, Greenwave will provide instructions and a link for purchasing the additional rental time.

More than one 10-day extension may be purchased. Each additional extension must be requested and approved before the current Return-By Date, and the applicable extension fee must be paid.

An extension is not effective until it has been approved by Greenwave and the applicable extension fee has been paid.

  1. Late Returns

A Meter is considered late if the return package has not been handed over to the designated shipping carrier by the applicable Return-By Date and no rental extension has been arranged in advance. If the Meter has not been returned within 10 days after the applicable Return-By Date, the $100 deposit will be forfeited.

Once the $100 deposit has been forfeited, Greenwave is not obligated to refund the deposit if the Meter is subsequently returned. Greenwave may, at its discretion, make exceptions in individual circumstances.

Greenwave may send courtesy reminders regarding an upcoming or missed Return-By Date. Failure to receive a reminder does not change the Return-By Date or the customer’s responsibility to return the Meter on time.

  1. Return Packaging and Shipping

Greenwave will provide the following materials for returning your rental Meter:

  • Prepaid return shipping label
  • USPS Padded Flat Rate Envelope
  • White product box
  • Bubble wrap

The white product box, bubble wrap, and any other protective packaging that arrives with your rental must be saved for repackaging. You will need these materials to safely package the Meter for return.

Your return package must include:

  • Greenwave Broadband EMI Meter (wrapped in the bubble wrap provided)
  • Meter cord
  • White product box (wrapped in the bubble wrap provided)

The completed Meter Return Form must also be included. This form helps Greenwave identify and process your return promptly. Failure to include the form may delay processing of your deposit refund.

The Meter must be packaged for return in the same manner in which you received it: Wrap the Meter body in bubble wrap. Place the wrapped Meter and Meter cord inside the white product box. Wrap the white product box in the provided bubble wrap, and place it inside the USPS Padded Flat Rate Envelope.

Using Greenwave’s Prepaid Return Label and Padded Envelope

  • When using the prepaid return label and padded envelope provided by Greenwave, return the package through the shipping carrier designated on the label.
  • Obtain and retain a receipt or other proof that the carrier accepted your package. Keep this documentation until your $100 deposit has been refunded. Proof of carrier acceptance may be required if tracking does not show that the package was accepted or if the package is subsequently lost in transit.
  • If you lose or misplace the prepaid return label and envelope, contact Greenwave at [email protected] before returning the Meter. Greenwave can email you a replacement label.
  • Once your properly packaged return has been accepted by the designated shipping carrier using Greenwave’s prepaid return label and envelope, Greenwave assumes the risk of loss or carrier-caused damage while the package is in transit.

Using Your Own Return Shipping

  • You may choose to return the Meter using a different shipping carrier or shipping method. If you do so, you are responsible for all return shipping costs and must email [email protected] with the carrier name and tracking number.
  • If you arrange your own return shipping, you assume the risk of loss or damage while the package is in transit and are responsible for pursuing any applicable claim with the shipping carrier.
  1. Refund of Deposit

For an eligible return, Greenwave will initiate the $100 deposit refund within five business days after receiving and inspecting the returned Meter. After Greenwave initiates the refund, additional processing time may be required before the refund appears in your account. Processing times are determined by your bank, credit card issuer, or other payment provider.

  1. Meter Condition, Damage, Loss, and Deposit Refund

To receive a full refund of the $100 deposit, the Meter and Meter cord must be returned and the Meter must be functioning normally, subject to the return-shipping provisions in Section 7.

Greenwave will inspect and test the Meter after receiving it. Ordinary signs of normal use will not affect your deposit refund.

The Meter must be returned using the white product box and protective bubble wrap provided by Greenwave and packaged according to the return instructions. If the Meter is damaged because it was insufficiently packaged or the provided protective packaging was not used, Greenwave may withhold some or all of the $100 deposit.

If the Meter is returned damaged or is not functioning normally for reasons other than ordinary use or carrier-caused damage for which Greenwave has assumed responsibility under Section 7, Greenwave may withhold some or all of the $100 deposit.

If the Meter or Meter cord is lost during the rental period or not returned, Greenwave may withhold some or all of the $100 deposit.

If you use Greenwave’s prepaid return label and a properly packaged return is lost or damaged after being accepted by the designated shipping carrier, your eligibility for a deposit refund will not be affected, provided you can supply proof of carrier acceptance if requested.

If you arrange your own return shipping and the package is lost or damaged in transit, Greenwave may withhold some or all of the deposit based on whether the Meter and cord are actually received and their condition. You are responsible for pursuing reimbursement from the shipping carrier for any loss or carrier-caused damage.

  1. Customer Responsibility and Proper Use

You are responsible for the Meter while it is in your possession. Use and store the Meter with reasonable care and use it only as described in the Meter Instructions provided by Greenwave. When the Meter is not in use, we recommend storing it in its original white product box to help protect it from damage.

The Meter may be shared with family, friends, or others during the rental period; however, you remain responsible for the Meter and its timely return in acceptable condition, regardless of who uses it.

Do not open, disassemble, modify, repair, or otherwise alter the Meter or cord. Do not use the Meter if it or its cord appears damaged.

You are responsible for using the Meter safely and appropriately while it is in your possession and for following all instructions and warnings provided by Greenwave.

  1. Rental Availability and Cancellation

Meter rentals are offered on a limited basis and are subject to availability.

If Greenwave is unable to provide a rental Meter within one week after you have placed your order, Greenwave will cancel the Meter rental and refund the $39.95 rental fee and $100 deposit.

If you wish to cancel your Meter rental, you must contact Greenwave before the Meter ships. Once the Meter has shipped, the $39.95 rental fee is nonrefundable. The $100 deposit remains refundable in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.

  1. Meter Measurements and Results

The Greenwave Broadband EMI Meter is a measurement tool intended to help you evaluate dirty electricity on building wiring, identify dirty electricity sources, and guide Greenwave filter installation. Meter readings can vary between outlets and may change as electrical devices, appliances, lighting, and other equipment are turned on or off or as electrical conditions change in your building or in the neighborhood.

Greenwave does not guarantee that use of the Meter or installation of Greenwave filters will produce a particular Meter reading or a specific level of dirty electricity reduction in every environment.

  1. Rental Meter Condition

Rental Meters may have been used previously by other customers. Greenwave will inspect rental Meters before shipment to confirm that they are functioning normally.

Rental Meters may show minor cosmetic signs of previous use that do not affect their operation.

If the Meter or cord appears damaged or the Meter does not appear to be functioning properly when you receive it, stop using it and contact Greenwave promptly at [email protected].

  1. Limitation of Liability

The Meter is provided as a measurement tool to help you evaluate dirty electricity on building wiring and guide filter installation. You are responsible for how you use the Meter and for any decisions you make based on Meter readings.

To the extent permitted by law, Greenwave is not responsible for damage, loss, or injury resulting from misuse of the Meter, failure to follow Greenwave’s instructions or warnings, unauthorized modification or repair of the Meter, or use of the Meter for purposes for which it was not designed. Greenwave is also not responsible for incidental or consequential losses resulting from the temporary unavailability, malfunction, or failure of a rental Meter.

  1. Exceptions and Changes to Rental Terms

Greenwave may, at its discretion, make exceptions to these Terms & Conditions when circumstances warrant. Making an exception in one instance does not require Greenwave to make the same or a similar exception in another instance.

Greenwave may modify the Meter Rental Program and these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Any changes will apply to future rentals and will not alter the terms applicable to a Meter rental already placed or underway, unless otherwise agreed to by Greenwave and the customer.
